A Quiet Place (2018) Analysis-Review

All images owned by Platinum Dunes  5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'A Quiet Place' (Krasanski, 2018) is a horror film starring Emily Blunt and her husband, the director John Krasanski. Usually horror is not a genre of film I enjoy, I do not like the usual volume of blood, gore, sometimes sexist undertones and 2 dimentional characters who usually just there for bait of the creatures or physcopaths. However the leading actress is what attracted me to going to see the film. Blunt is a versitile actress who has been in many a genre from comedy to historical but has also done action films such as 'Looper' and 'Edge of Tomorrow' both of which proves that she can act as a bad-ass strong female lead. This film draws a lot from her time in Looper, traits she shows in both. She has also proven she can do horror in one of her earlier, but prehaps weaker films "Windchill". During A Quiet Place however she shows both that strong independant leader but also her more vulnerable...

2019 and The Last 2 years.

Hello. This is Natasha's New Film Blog. Except its not new now I've had this blog for 2 and a half years and forgot to post anything on this blog in the last year and a half. So basically I had planned many reviews and then either something would come up or I would forget to post it. (All the photos taken on this particular post are taken by me.) A bit of an update about the last 2 years of my life. In September 2017 I finished university and graduated with a 2.1 Degree in Film, Radio and Television Studies. . I attended the film premiere of ' Paddington 2' (anyone who knows me in real life knows I am no stranger to standing outside film premieres hoping to meet my favourite actors) but this time I actually went into the film premiere by complete chance, which was very exciting.  I then did some unpaid community work.  Then I did a Film and Drama course for 6 months (was only supposed to be 3 months).
