Lady Bird: Escaping Your Home Town
I usually only write posts about films I watch in the cinema. I thought I probably would not write any posts during lockdown as a result. However, I just watched the movie Lady Bird (Greta Gerwig, 2017) on Netflix, as it has recently started streaming on Netflix UK. This movie has compelled me to Lady Bird promotional poster. write a little something about it. Since it came out I heard it was good, and I have wanted to see it, due to the fact it is directed by a female director, has Saoirse Ronan in who is a brilliant actress, generally had positive reviews, looked amusing and had a look of Ghost World (Terry Zwigoff, 2003), which is set a few years before and a film I love. This movie is so much better than I expected. I thought, I will like it, but it will probably be a run-of-the-mill coming of age movie. It is not. It is real.
